Hunting
Tongue River has excellent hunting, particularly for quail.
Tongue River has three different habitat types: the breaks and canyons found across the river with the mesquite, cedars, and big washes; Shinnery country that creates abundant acorns and is covered with ragweed; and the south end of the ranch which has river bottoms and rolling mesquite hills. Tongue River is half-stocked with horses and cattle, to promote the preservation of cover, making it an excellent wildlife habitate.
